Today I went to the County Clerk’s office and I voted NO on the $241 Million Referendum for a Proposed New High School.

The proposed Hockey Rink IMHO embodies why we need community input on this plan and a more researched plan that is a better fit for our community.  

Whether you are a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ vote, resist the urge to use hurtful language against others

Voting starts today and I have decided to share my current thoughts the proposed New High School.  

The proposed New High School is being built to include amenities that could be attractive to many Hoboken residents.... if they can access them.

Every project solves for something and a list is made of the need to haves and the nice to haves because not everything can always be accommodated...

Enrollment - the wave is real, but low housing stock keeps it at bay...

This proposal has an end result of getting two new schools for the district.  

What is included in the $330 million?

The BOE voted unanimously to put the $241 million of bonding needed to construct the proposed New High School on the ballot to be voted upon by Hoboken registered voters on January 25^th.  This means:

• the proposal can’t be changed prior to the vote on January 25^th, and

• voters only have a choice to vote the proposal “up or down” (yes or no).
